what it is
Ibyiringiro means “hope” in Kinyarwanda.
And that is what this fund is designed to help create—not by removing the work required of a student, but by helping remove a financial barrier that could keep them from continuing.
Through trusted educational partnerships in Rwanda, the Ibyiringiro Scholars Fund provides tuition support for students pursuing their education and preparing for what comes next.

Hope Springs Africa is honored to be the first U.S.-based partner to provide scholarships at the University of Kigali, joining a small group of international institutions supporting students through the university.

HOW THE SCHOLARSHIP WORKS
The University of Kigali operates on a two-semester academic year:
Semester 1: September–February
Semester 2: March–July
Students typically complete four to five academic modules each semester, with tuition and books due at the beginning of each term.
