CYCLES OF CHANGE™

💡 $60 = 1 reusable kit = 3 years of dignity, education, and opportunity.
🎯 Goal: $5,000 by March 31st = 83 women and girls empowered!

Breaking & Creating Change

The name "Cycles of Change" represents the menstrual cycle and the transformational change that comes from empowering women with access to menstrual health solutions.

  • Breaking the cycle of period poverty – Ensuring that lack of menstrual products no longer holds women and girls back.

  • Creating cycles of education and opportunity – Keeping girls in school, enabling women to earn an income, and building generational change.

  • Sustainable impact – Providing reusable kits that last years, promoting health, dignity, and environmental responsibility.

It's a name that speaks to continuity, empowerment, and a movement that creates lasting change—one woman, one community at a time.

Why Cycles of Change is Critical

In Rwanda and many parts of the world, a woman's period can hold her back in ways that are hard to imagine. Girls often miss school during their periods due to lack of supplies. These absences can add up to 20% of the school year. Our mission to change that — because menstruation should never be a reason for shame, missed opportunities, or poor health.

POIINT. BLANK. PERIOD.

Aligning for Impact

Hope Springs Africa, as an official Impact Partner with Days for Girls International, is expanding access to hygiene kits, education, and economic empowerment—restoring dignity and opportunity for women in rural Rwanda.

What Cycles of Change™ Will Do

Our goal is to help 250 girls and women in a Rwandan village by:

  • Providing Reusable Sanitary Pads: Each woman will receive two reusable sanitary pad kits from local Rwandan producers. These pads are safe, sustainable, and will last for years.

  • Offering Comprehensive Training: A certified menstrual health trainer will teach women how to use the pads and provide essential education about menstrual and reproductive health.

This project isn’t just about pads; it’s about breaking the cycle of shame and stigma while improving women’s health, confidence, and opportunities.

Why This Project is a Win-Win

  1. Improves Attendance: With proper menstrual supplies, women and girls can continue attending school or work, closing the gap in opportunities.

  2. Promotes Dignity: Women will no longer have to rely on unsafe or undignified alternatives, allowing them to manage their periods hygienically and confidently

  3. Boosts the Local Economy: By sourcing pads from local Rwandan producers, this project supports small businesses and stimulates the local economy.

  4. Breaks the Silence: Education empowers women to talk openly about menstruation, breaking the stigma and fostering a more inclusive community.

  5. Saves the Environment: Reusable pads reduce waste from disposable products, offering a sustainable solution.
